Michael Powell Speech to Federalist Society

Chairman Powell spoke yesterday at the Federalist Society Annual Convention about the need to refrain from regulating VoIP and how the Internet changes the traditional state/federal balance in communications regulation. The text isn't on the web yet, but a prescient speech about the commerce clause, federalism and the need to break out of legacy regulatory categories. Particularly encouraging was the Chairman's opposition to corralling VoIP back into the legacy regulatory world. I agree.
